Acer Aspire 5740 Classical

The Acer Aspire 5740 laptop isn’t big (250 x 383 x 26 mm) and weighs only 3 kilograms. Such compactness would be perfect for those, who like both to travel and stay online. The Acer Aspire 5740 has a 6-segment lithium-ionic battery which guarantees about 2 hours of operating time. We should admit that it is good enough for a portable computer.

The notebook has a modern design with some features that have already become typical for Acer. As most of the brand’s laptops, ACER Aspire 5740 has no acute angles. The beautiful varnished surface looks perfect. The body of the laptop is made of plastic. The surface of the inner part is glossy, so the fingerprints will be left even after the slightest touch. Basically, it’s not a problem as elegant design has its own price.



The wrists stand differs from general design: it is made of relief dull plastic. This is surely a model’s advantage as fingerprints and other marks stay invisible. In general, the assemblage of new notebook Aspire 5740 is high enough.

The Acer Aspire 5740 notebook has an opening angle of 140 degrees. It has a small latch used to open the laptop. Though connective joints are tight enough, the computer screen is fixed reliably. The start button is placed below the screen and has blue illumination not only for aesthetic function, but for defining the operation modes, too.



Above the keyboard there is built-in audiosystem, which isn’t the best ever, but good enough for this type of computer. It does not give the best depth of sound, but its quality is quite good, and the sound at the maximum level does not have any distortions. Anyway, if this system will not suit you you can install a better edition.

The notebook has a large-format 15,6-inch screen with LED-illumination technology and defenition of 1366x768 pixels. This illumination is perfect for image and video performance (with no distortions of colour) and determines the duration of the battery operating time. The WXGA display has technology CrystalBright, which provides bright, juicy colours and makes the screen perfect for games, watching videos and working in different office applications.

The Acer Aspire 5740 web-cam is very simple. It has only 0.3 megapixels (while even the simplest models are supplied with a 1.3 megapixels cameras). Anyway, the Crystal Eye web-cam allows to use video chats and get in touch with your nearest and dearest, colleagues and business partners. The camera can also be used for making videos or photos.
